Modern developments in Microbiology have fostered exciting new advances in infectious diseases, cancer, biotechnology and immunology. Our faculty direct modern, molecular research programs which address basic, important biological questions. The Section has an outstanding reputation and many faculty members are invited speakers at national and international meetings and symposia.
